| Tennessee winters are usually mild, but we do get an
occasional snowfall. We actually like them at Mountain Valley Chapel! But, as
you can see...it's beautiful with or without snow in our crisp mountain air. If the
drive to our chapel is snow-laden we do clear it as soon as possible. However, when planning your winter wedding at Mountain Valley Chapel and your honeymoon in the Smoky Mountains, consider your transportation, too. If you have a 4-wheel drive, play it safe and drive it when you come to these beautiful mountains in the winter. Many of the cabin resorts are in the high mountains with very steep drives. The drive to Mountain Valley Chapel is a gentle winding, half-mile climb from Wears Valley Road to the top where the chapel stands. If weather makes it impossible for you to come to the Smokies, let us know and we will reschedule your wedding for another day. |
